Can you work with a system that has no documentation?
Yes. We start with the available code, database, integrations and observed behavior. Reverse engineering helps recover business rules and dependencies so the modernization plan accounts for what the system actually does.
Do we need a complete rewrite?
Often, no. Extending an existing application, replacing one component or migrating in stages may be a better fit. We compare the maintenance burden, business risk and cost of each approach before recommending a direction.
What does the free assessment include?
An initial direction, technical approach, delivery range, ballpark budget, major risks and a suggested engagement model. An engineer replies within 2 business days. Once we have enough context, we normally deliver the assessment within 2 business days. Detailed code analysis and a fixed implementation quote may require a separate paid discovery phase.
How much does legacy modernization cost?
Cost depends on the business rules to preserve, data quality, integrations, testing needs and rollout constraints. Share the current system and the change you need; we can give an initial range and explain what could change it. We agree on any paid discovery scope before work begins.
Do you work with companies in the US and Canada?
We offer remote software consulting to teams in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and other markets. Tell us your time zone and preferred meeting times so we can agree on a practical communication schedule. Work is conducted in English.
Who owns the code and documentation?
You own the work we build for your project. Delivery takes place in your repository and infrastructure, with documentation your team can use. Any third-party components retain their own licenses.
