Legacy Software Modernization
Move aging applications from outdated technologies to a modern, maintainable stack — incrementally, or rebuilt where a rewrite makes more sense.
Legacy modernization · Reverse engineering · Migrations · Business automation
We help businesses modernize legacy software, migrate platforms and automate workflows — from undocumented legacy applications and outdated technology stacks to CMS platforms and manual business processes. Work directly with senior engineers from the first conversation to production.
Remote software consulting for teams in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and beyond.
Hear from an engineer within 2 business days. Start with a free technical assessment.
No obligation. No sales handoff.
You don't need to know which framework, CMS, architecture or cloud platform you need. Tell us what's slowing your business down. We'll figure out the technical path.
Our legacy application is becoming impossible to maintain.
Nobody fully understands how the old system works.
We need to move off an old stack without breaking the business.
Our CMS has turned into a custom application full of workarounds.
Adding a simple feature takes months.
Employees spend hours moving data between systems manually.
Another vendor gave us a six-month estimate — we want a second opinion.
What we solve
Move aging applications from outdated technologies to a modern, maintainable stack — incrementally, or rebuilt where a rewrite makes more sense.
No documentation? Original developers gone? We analyze code, database, integrations and runtime behavior to recover business rules and hidden edge cases before touching anything.
Move off an outdated language, framework or database without breaking the business logic that depends on it — planned around what the system actually does, not just what it's built on.
Move from legacy CMS platforms or heavily customized systems to whatever actually fits — another CMS, headless, a custom application, or a mix. We don't sell a preferred CMS.
Replace repetitive manual workflows, spreadsheets and disconnected systems with software and integrations — from a small internal tool to a full workflow.
Not every system needs a rewrite. Sometimes the right answer is to understand what already works and extend it — properly, without starting from zero.
Need something built from scratch instead? We design and build custom applications and internal tools with the same senior-engineer, low-overhead approach.
Already have a proposal? Send us the scope. We'll tell you if the architecture makes sense, where the risks are, and what we'd do differently.
Key differentiator
Legacy software rarely behaves exactly the way its documentation says it does. Sometimes there is no documentation at all. We reconstruct the system before we propose a migration path — not after.
Free Technical Assessment
Start with a short conversation with an engineer. Share your existing system, problem, requirements, documentation — or even an estimate you already received from another vendor. Once we have enough context, we normally share an initial assessment within 2 business days:
Extend, refactor, migrate, automate or rebuild.
How we would solve the problem, and why.
A realistic initial delivery range.
A ballpark implementation cost.
Unknowns that could materially affect scope or timeline.
Fixed price, milestone delivery, or Time & Materials.
For systems with significant undocumented complexity, we may recommend a deeper technical discovery before committing to a fixed implementation price.
The engineer discussing your problem is an engineer who can actually build the solution.
Faster decisions, less information lost between people, less management overhead built into the project price.
Plan the work around the system, the risks and the people who use it.
Complex programs may need project managers, analysts, QA engineers, DevOps specialists and larger delivery teams. Smaller projects often don't.
Agree on responsibilities, acceptance criteria and review points before implementation starts.
That's fine too. We can work independently or alongside your internal engineering team, CTO, product team, existing outsourcing partner, or larger delivery organization.
Work directly with senior engineers or bring us into your existing delivery process.
You shouldn't have to pay for layers you don't need.
No proprietary platform required to keep working with us.

Co-founder · Senior Software Engineer
Hands-on engineer with production experience across the full delivery lifecycle. Focused on turning fragile manual workflows into automated systems the team can actually rely on.
LinkedIn ↗Yes. We start with the available code, database, integrations and observed behavior. Reverse engineering helps recover business rules and dependencies so the modernization plan accounts for what the system actually does.
Often, no. Extending an existing application, replacing one component or migrating in stages may be a better fit. We compare the maintenance burden, business risk and cost of each approach before recommending a direction.
An initial direction, technical approach, delivery range, ballpark budget, major risks and a suggested engagement model. An engineer replies within 2 business days. Once we have enough context, we normally deliver the assessment within 2 business days. Detailed code analysis and a fixed implementation quote may require a separate paid discovery phase.
Cost depends on the business rules to preserve, data quality, integrations, testing needs and rollout constraints. Share the current system and the change you need; we can give an initial range and explain what could change it. We agree on any paid discovery scope before work begins.
We offer remote software consulting to teams in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and other markets. Tell us your time zone and preferred meeting times so we can agree on a practical communication schedule. Work is conducted in English.
You own the work we build for your project. Delivery takes place in your repository and infrastructure, with documentation your team can use. Any third-party components retain their own licenses.
